REQUIREMENTS

GRADUATE STUDENT RESEARCH SCHOLARSHIPS APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Requirements

• All applicants must be doctoral students currently working on their research (completed research will not qualify)

• The research topic must align with Ad Astra’s focus areas:

– post-secondary education (teaching/learning).

– transitions (secondary education to undergraduate, undergraduate to graduate, education to career).

– college and career success.

• Applicants are encouraged to share and seek out best practices and knowledge.

• To successfully apply, please ensure you submit the following items on the application form:

1. Title

2. Abstract (350-500 words)

3. Research purpose, objectives, and/or specific aims

4. A detailed explanation of the significance and feasibility of your research (no length restrictions)

5. Proposed Methods (no length restrictions): Include your hypothesis, methodology, sampling method, evaluation/assessment, and a plan for data collection and analysis.

6. Proposed Project Timeline: Indicate the beginning date of your research and the target completion date.

7. Itemized budget for the use of funds (no length restrictions)

8. *Optional*: A Letter of Nomination/Recommendation from a Graduate Advisor, submitted as an attachment (PDF or document format not to exceed 10MB).
